If you missed it Monday night, here's the short version: the Grizzlies, 6-0 and the NBA's only unbeaten team, lost 135–134 in overtime to the Pelicans. Ty Jerome scored nine straight points to tie it at 124–124 with 4.6 seconds left in regulation, then finished with a game-high 40. Pelicans guard Jeremiah Fears made a pair of free throws with 7.3 seconds left in overtime.

Turnovers hurt. Memphis had 16 to New Orleans' 8, and the Pelicans scored 21 points off them. Cam Boozer added 18 points, nine rebounds and five assists, Jaylen Wells had 16, and Isaiah Stewart led the bench with 14. For perspective, last year's team didn't win two straight until nearly the end of November.
