About this event
During the winter break of 1970, a difficult teacher at a New England boarding school is assigned to supervise the students who have nowhere else to go. He soon finds himself sharing the nearly empty campus with a sharp but troubled student and the school’s grieving head cook. Directed by Alexander Payne and starring Paul Giamatti , Da’Vine Joy Randolph, and Dominic Sessa, The Holdovers is a warm, funny, and bittersweet story about loneliness, unlikely friendship, and finding connection during the holidays.
