Creative Aging is thrilled to welcome Memphis Jazz Workshop to the Concert Series at Kroc Center Memphis! Memphis Jazz Workshop (MJW) is a group of award-winning musicians, vocalists, and instructors dedicated to cultivating the future of jazz through education and preservation. They aim to spark a renaissance of jazz culture in Memphis youth, under the guidance of musicians who have lived the art form. MJW is a music education resource helping young people further advance their instrumental and/or vocal craft and allowing them to explore Jazz music as a hobby, or ultimately, a career. This program will give you an inspiring introduction to Jazz and to Memphis Jazz Workshop’s mission of creating the next generation of high-quality jazz musicians. Seating is general admission. To reserve an accessible seat, please purchase your ticket and then call 901-272-3434 to notify Creative Aging that your order needs an accessible seat. If you do not call to confirm your accessible seat, there may not be any spaces available at the performance. Tickets are $7 and only available through Creative Aging. All proceeds support Creative Aging—enriching older adults’ lives by bringing music and the arts to places seniors live and gather.
